Nina Strandberg, Head of the Learning and Organisational Development Unit at Sida, explains the specific needs of Sida and the reasons for reviewing the need for digital collaboration tools.
“Sida works with complex issues in complex environments, which requires the involvement of people with different competences such as gender equality, environment or risk management. To achieve the agency's goals, Sida has therefore adopted an agile and team-based approach where a crucial factor for success is having the right digital support tools".
The agency has high security requirements in terms of information security and has been looking for a digital collaboration tool that both meets the requirements and was easy to work in. After a procurement process, the agency chose Redpill Linpro as a service provider where Sida will use Mattermost applications for chat and planning boards operated in Redpill Linpro's Nordic data centre.
" Through the new chat and planning board tools, we have laid the foundation for a modern and secure digital collaboration space. Working groups can visualise the planning for each assignment or project and continuously monitor the work. The tools will facilitate the agency's work and are long-awaited," explains Nina Strandberg.
Sida has conducted a proof of concept of the new chat tools and project boards. The solution has recently been deployed to all employees at the agency in Sweden, a total of about 600 people, employees who will now adopt a new digital collaboration tool.
"We are delighted to work with Redpill Linpro, which has deep expertise in digital collaboration tools and is well versed in the specific challenges that we have in public administration. We now have a solution that meets our high demands for security and integrity and at the same time makes our work smoother. For example, we can now store and thus search information in the chat function when data is saved, which from a regulatory perspective was not possible in the old Teams solution we had," Nina Strandberg explains
Many public sector organisations have chosen Redpill Linpro's digital collaboration solutions for sustainable and secure digitalisation. For Redpill Linpro, this is another success in the company's commitment to deliver leading solutions in the field of digital collaboration. Sida joins customers such as the Swedish Agency for Marine and Water Management, the Swedish National Board of Housing, Building and Planning, the Swedish Electrical Safety Authority, the Swedish Chemicals Agency, UKÄ and others.
"Sida's work with aid is very important for the development of society throughout the world, and we are proud that we can contribute to this with good and legal collaboration tools," comments Filipa Lourenco, Region Manager, Redpill Linpro Digital Workplace.
